Yet another Yak question

Was watching a video on the youtube and came across this guy Marlin and shark fishing in his kayak. With the strength of a marlin pulling you, how would you go about reeling one into the boat. I have seen guys in big boats fight trying to reel one in, and I can't imagine how much tougher it would be in a kayak.

Probably let it tire out some and then start reeling?

As a general rule you should never catch fish that are bigger than the vessel you are in

All you really do is just let it pull you. If you know it's a 5-6' plus fish, unhook from your anchor buoy(if you're fishing anchored, which he probably wasn't) and just tighten the drag to where it will pull you til it tires. With fish like marlin and big sharks this could take anywhere from 1-4 hours. When a guy I fished with got on a 6-7' black tip i paddled up to his kayak and held on so the shark had to pull both of us, i was perpendicular to him too so it was double the drag. We wore the shark out in about 45 mins just enough to where it was slowly swimming near the surface of the water, took some pics, and cut the line. If it was a fish I wanted to hold to take a pic of I would probably wear it out a lot longer in case it got green on me in my kayak.
I'll find a pic to post of the shark
