Yamaha tiller swap?

Pending everything goes through, I’m swapping a Yamaha 40 2 stroke for a Yamaha 50 4 stroke. I have the new style big tiller, his has the old style big tiller. I want to keep my new style big tiller so we’ll be swapping them. How hard is that to do and will there be any unknown issues that may come up? Thanks

a call to any yamaha repair shop should get you the answer but if they arent fairly close in year they were made, then i think there might be some fitment issues
it all depends if the 40 and the 50 use the same physical block casting

40 is a 98 & 50 is a 05. Already called a dealer, said it will work, was just looking for more info that may help. Dealer just said yes and bring it in.
