Yamaha outboard extended warranty question

Just bought a 2016 Xpress with a 115 Yamaha SHO that is covered by an extended warranty until 3/21.
The motor is blowing the main fuse when the trim/tilt is engaged while the motor is running. Would this be covered by the Yamaha warranty? If yes, which dealer would give the best service, Boat City in Hammond, Big Wheel Boats in Hammond, Ascension Marine, or Thomas Marine?
This is the first motor that I've had the luxury of it being covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

My bet is a frayed wire under your binnicle, light the underside up and feel for exposed wire first. Which dealer is platinum dealership out of those? Also, it never hurts to drop a $20 on the guy who finds and fixes your problem, you’ll be remembered on the next service trip.

Just so you know if the problem is not inside the Yamaha then the warranty won't cover it.
If you have a copy of the warranty (which you should) read the section that talks about what's covered.

The original owner told me that he found an exposed wire under the switch panel that was shorting out on the hull about a year ago. He said that the wire that goes to the trim switch on the bow was the one that was not insulated properly. Probably not fixed completely the first time. Will pull the panel when I get back out to my camp.
It does sound like a boat issue and not a motor issue.
Thanks guys
