My camp has a wall full of shirt tails. Mostly from the 60's and early 70's when we ran dogs. Most are flannel patterns.. not camo. We Didn't have that many camo options back then but I would love to have a time machine.

Same here. A wall of shame so to speak. We do allow you to bring a camo tshirt for the duty though, so it's not that expensive on you. Nowadays, gotta be frugal, especially when you figure someones first deer probably, in real terms, costs about $88 dollars a pound when you factor in hunting costs all together.

i got bloodied after my first deer. never heard of the shirt tail thing and thought it sounded stupid at first. however after reading alahunters reason it makes since to me and i wouldnt be opposed to it or turn away from a club because of it.

It's done in good fun. Usually take a marker and write the name and date on them before we staple them to the wall.
eta- and it's funny to go back and see how many some that used to be in the club had.

I didn't but I had killed plenty of squirrels, rabbits, and other critters before. And I've never killed anything I didn't skin and butcher myself.

Getting blooded is a right of passage.
I cut my own shirt tail off one time, but it was because I didn't have any toilet paper on me and the leaf thing hasn't worked since I grew some hair on my arse.
