They really are. Our H2A guys can fix anything, rig up all kind of contraptions, dig perfect ditches with a rickety 30 yr old backhoe. Blows my mind what they come up with sometimes.

That’s a pretty good idea
As long as it's a controlled watering but not when that 3 inch rain comes.

Too much water and too much fertilizer too soon. Couple of the leaves look like they may have some target leaf spot or circospora leaf spot? LINK For no more plants than you have, I would recommend that you save enough one gallon plastic milk jugs for each plant, cut a small slit in the bottom of each jug, fill the jug with water and let the water slowly drip out of each jug. Do this only when the plant needs water. You can tell very easily when they need water as they will begin to wilt down. As another poster said, don't water the whole plant. Sprinkling some powdered lime on the plant will help them grow and discourage blossom end rot, too. My biggest problem with tomatoes is keeping the hornworms under control. A lot of leaf litter under the plant attracts the moth which lays the eggs that develop into hornworms. Watch out for these worms. They're hard to see and will decimate your mater plants in just a day or two. LINK

They will get over it.

Also, I always plant my tomato plants deep, so no more than 4-6 inches is above ground. I dig a deep hole, sprinkle a little bonemeal and Tomato-tone in the bottom of the hole, add two inches of soil over that, and then plant the tomato plant. I peel off any branch that will be under ground.
