Yeah I probably should have done that first. I'm on my phone an was using the amazon app. Stupid fish knocked it out my hand yesterday and was gonna have one shipped to my house before I got home.

My dad and I would call it a "doo hickey".
If not used with the proper technique it'll bend the hook. Also, after mastering it, I learned to just pop my wrist instead of flipping it.
Here's a tip. We lost several so I started making them screwed into a broom handle so they'd float if they fell in the water.

I had a friend in HS who insisted on flipping it towards him even after I'd tell him away. He finally had on hang in his knee. He listened after that.
I don't even "flip" them anymore, I pop my wrist. It's much easier.

Yeah we were fishing down in Empire for a few days. Had a lot of use out of that flipper.

I bought one at Bass Pro and it cost a little moer than 2 bucks but it the best I've ever used. It has a heavy arse handle an does the job.

Don't flip EM, just wack on the head and leave floating.

quote:Yeah, just get a threaded hook at the local hardware store then bend the end and screw the other end into the handle.

I use a bench vise to bend it. A torch helps if you have one.

I just grab the fish and take the hook out. No problem
