I can't believe I missed this thread! I have 55 acres of eleven year old planted pine on my place in Wilkinson Co., Miss. that will need to be thinned in a year or two. Fortunately I'm not really concerned about the price; I just want it thinned - and thinned hard - so sunlight can get to the ground.

How hard is to find a good pulpwood logger who is not going to tear everything up in the process? How far in advance should I start trying to find one?
