I’ll be there next week, any tips? Chartering offshore/bottom-fishing/inlets. I’ve only fished the gulf, relative to that, what should I expect? Thanks in advance!

Drive up to jupiter, 15 min, and go with black dog or one of the other crews out of the square grouper (castaways) marina. Even if you don't catch, doubt it lately, you can always belly up at one of the best bars in america

If you don't want to break the bank on a charter, there are head boats in the area

If you have never caught snook, just look those charters up, plenty in the area. Very doubtful you would catch on in the slot. Those suckers must spend about two days in the slot size. Always caught over and under the slot.

Lots of GOOD fish caught off head boats in that area. They are a very good option.

May be a bit early BUT catching a bunch of snook a day in the surf is nearly a daily event in the area. No keepers 'cause there ain't no keeper Snook LOL but they are a blast no matter. Catch pin fish in the surf, flat line 'em on a circle hook and hang on. Get on the beach as early as possible, of course preferably when the tide is really moving...and get to it. The area is crawling with snook.

Another thing to do in the area is visit local tackle shops...there are a bunch of them...and talk to the young guys in the shop about fishing dock lights at night. Some of those dudes are ATE up with fishing every spare minute and they will have a boat and the local knowledge...and will gladly let an old dude tag along for $100 bucks or maybe even dinner and a 12 pack. just walk right in, preferably mid morning after the rush but when they are alone or mostly by themselves and ask point blank if anyone in the area is interested in having a fishing buddy for a few nights. You'll be shocked at how many will respond that they are going that very night and would be glad to have you tag along. Don't bother with the old dudes who will dismiss you as an interloper if you aint a local charter captain....they will be happy to refer you to someone who wants $600 for a 6 hour trip...but the young dude who is mostly overlooked by the shop...that's your target.

This also works with duck hunting...find a young dude in a pawnshop or if there is a real sporting goods store in town strike up a conversation....they will surprise you with the offers to tag along.

Flat lining live baits...mostly pin fish but also big shrimp...will produce good fish just about anywhere you can get close to the water. Be careful...you may find the fishing to be such that you never leave. That coast is UNBELEIVABLE...the crowds are a mess but the fishing is as good as it gets....
