Haven't lived in Shreveport in about 25 years, but If I lived there I would go give it a try. Used to use a tiny torpedo and small jitterbug.

But we had some serious weather go through Tuscaloosa while I was there and then it almost hit the fan when I got to Dega.

Fished Toledo with 2 friends.

Fished Blind River yesterday, but due to battery shenanigans I got out there late and had to leave early. Caught 1 bass and a goggle eye. Went back today, put 6 bass and 2 goggle eye in the boat, another 6 or so fell off before I could get them in 
All on a yellow magic.
This little guy didn't even bite it, he just got too close to the treble hooks
