correction: aint no-one north of i10 wearing masks, and I really think its just parts of BR and all of Orleans parish.
which is kind of making my point. It's not about what the population wants, it's about what the government does. 2/3 of the state doesn't wear a mask, and every surrounding state has dropped it, but we still have the mandate in place.
And these are the people you think will boldly resist a federal firearms edict?

I just learned that the opposition is emailing each Senator on the Judiciary "C" Committee.
Certainly we can do no less, especially if you can't make it to B.R. tomorrow. See the attached list of Jud C senators with their emails. Tell them to support SB118.
Let them hear from us

quote:tell them to support both. The sanctuary bill is purely conceptual; the Constitional Carry bill affects a lot of people. Guys can continue to offer courses, but it should never have been mandatory.

the opposition is planning to show up today
We need a show of force/solidarity
Anyone wishing to attend should wear a purple shirt(purple LSU is okay too)and go to Jud C at the capitol before noon.
There is only so many seats in the room, and we'd like to dominate the room...you will have to sign in(you can check off that you do not wish to speak if that is your preference.and we will point out the purple shirts around the room as being pro 118.
For those that make it to chamber an aquire a seat, we will put your name in the hat for a raffle...if we get at least 9 purple shirts or more in the room, then those 9(or more) will be eligible for a drawing for a western style revolver as well.
There will be purple t shirts to loan out as well
See Chris Patron who is heading this up.

Looking at the committee makeup, I see two definite anti-2A votes, 2-3 definite tell the Feds to GTFO votes, one I don’t know how she will fall (don’t know her) and the remainder (including the Chairman) that stick their wet finger in the wind on most every vote.
Will be interesting. Remember, most Louisiana “Republicans” are RINO’s. And everyone’s favorite “moderate” pro-2A Governor will veto this with the swiftness of it gets past the Black Caucus and to his desk.

I'm not trying to argue your point, I think its ridiculous. I'm just referring to the disconnect between BR/Nola and the rest of the state.
As for the bill, not electing Abraham was a major blunder. Thanks alot Rispone.

From Chris
I'm pleased to announce that SB118, a Constitutional Carry Bill, was advanced to the full Senate for consideration with a "recommendation-for" from the Judiciary-C Committee. That brings our record to 34-0.
Thanks to the 15 purple shirts for showing up. It is why we continue to win. The raffle winners were:
Revolver: John B
LaserTac laser: Mike B
Tac laser: Wayne H
Congratulations to the raffle winners, and congratulations to the real winners: The citizens of Louisiana.
Check the photo on our website, FPofLA.com, to see a photo of who brought on this victory. The suit is Senator Jay Morris who offered the bill.
But the fight is not over. Next Wednesday, April 28, the House Committee on Administration of Criminal Justice will be hearing at least three gun bills that I know of. And this committee does not work banking hours. They start at 9 and the doors open at 8:30. So we need to be there at 8 to fill out cards, etc.
I propose car pooling again. There are enough folks leaving from Slidell to have a car pool originating there. I plan to be in the Office Depot parking lot at 6:15 and leave at 6:30. If anyone wants help organizing a car pool contact me and I will get the work out. At any rate, we need to be there by 8am on the House side, down where the Committee on Administration of Criminal Justice meets.
Many thanks for those who came to the meeting today to fight for our 2A liberties.
Best,
Chris Patrón

Blame the guys who DIDN'T support Rispone because their guy didn't make the runoff. He might not have been your first choice, but he should have been your choice between him and Edwards. Instead, they chose to reelect JBE.
