Google Earth.
Don't know of anything more up-to-date than that.
Except for what I have at work...lol!

All are going to vary based on when they re-purchased their imaging for a certain area or region. Yahoo maps is surprisingly current for my area, shows a clear cut that is barely a year old. Google earth has a feature that will let you roll back the clock and see imaging going back over time, which can be useful for scouting and will show you how current the latest is.

Between google maps, google earth (yes they sometimes have different imagery), and Bing maps you'll likely have the best free maps available. BING seems to use the same maps that ESRI offers in its apps so it will be different from google. I'd toggle between the 2 depending on your area.
