I'm needing to take the uni bushings (metal piece in shaft that holds the nock) out of some Gold Tip arrows. Anyone ever do this? I've heard direct flame or boiling water to melt the glue. What you baws got?

Does the other end have an insert in it? If not get a small bit and drop it in. Flip it over and swing the shaft like a baseball bat a few times knocking the bit into it. Should jar it loose.

It has the threaded insert where a tip is inserted and the entry hole smaller than the one I need removed, so a bit that would fit in it would fall out the other end. That'd do the trick if it wasn't different sizes. Thanks though!

Just heat it with a lighter and pull it out with pliers. I've done it several times

Thanks. Wanted to check before I did that and make sure that it wouldn't damage the arrow shaft.

Depends on what kind of glue was used when it was put in. In my day, we always used hot melt, but I haven't kept up with the latest trends.
