I've got enough hours in a classroom that it'll make you puke.

Sallie Mae better hope I live another 30 years. Otherwise they're gonna miss out on a lot of cash.

Pretty sure this was their goal in the first place.

I'm really hoping the government finally does something in our favor and passes that 10 year loan forgiveness program. If it passes, you can bet I'll be paying the minimum for 10 years and they can have the rest

The military is probably gonna pay mine. I'm thinking 6 extra years of service will be worth getting out of debt.

Good luck with that. If I get desperate to pay them off quicker, I've got some offers to go to smaller towns and practice and get about 50K towards loans per year in addition to the regular salary.

Yep, same here. Just don't ever bundle your loans with hers. If you go she does not owe them that way.

Mine had a very small amount and we could have refinanced and bundled ours a few years back for a lower rate on mine. But if I die mine are forgiven if we keep them separate, so we just paid hers in full and moved on.

I thought there were already loan forgiveness programs for MD's and BSN's? You have a lady now wouldnt you rather work in an underserved area or for the VA? Or is it that you just want to get back in the firefight?

Probably not the best idea.

Will end up with a lot of bad advice and a lawsuit or two.
