Lost my release the other day after sticking a doe. It was an older Scott brand single jaw design. I read awesome reviews on the hook design of the hardcore and decided to try it out. Any OBers got one?

I assume you mean the Hardcore 4?
If so, I have one. Used it heavily over the summer to train and get my shots on point. Love it, worth the cost. Helped me get a nice antelope in WY this year.
The ability to change the sensitivity of the trigger and travel, as well as position is great. Can't compare how much more on this release than others but it is easy to dial in exactly how you want it.
I am lefty too, and you can switch the side of the thumb trigger.
Made a big leap in accuracy when I switched from a Scott with a heavy heavy trigger.

After painfully losing two Scott calipers I switched to a Tru Fire with a wrist strap..
