I have in the last two years swapped my 4 wheeler, SXS, and Lawn mower over to Lithium Ion batteries. So far so good

Umm I have some bad news for you.
Your 2000 Chevy 350 is actually a 327, but whatever.
I've had my autozone Duralast battery in my truck for over 10 years. You don't need an expensive arse Optima battery.

Wanna bet it has a 350?..... You name the bet and place to meet so you can pay inspect and pay me.

Ok Ok I guess if you did a motor swap, then you might have a 350. Good for you

I can tell those that haven't experienced AGM batteries from those that have by the comments and the attempt at justification.
Sure thing boss

For those that are bad with math, that is a 13 and a 14 year old battery that are still doing there job in a truck and a boat motor that both require more than average cranking amps.
For the second time, if your primary concern is having a cranking battery that's going to last a long time, then spiral cell AGMs are the best for that application. That's exactly what they were designed for.
Deep cycle is a whole other animal. Those blue tops you're so proud of have half the amp hour rating at triple the cost. You're the one who was hollering about value, so how about you do the math.
A properly maintained wet cell will last 3 years or more (more like 5 if you know what you're doing) at about $80 per battery. You'll need two AGMs to run your trolling motor the same time as mine, so at $250 a pop you'll need all of your AGMs to last about 20 years to "break even" over using wet cells. I'm being generous with those numbers, and it doesn't even take into account the likelihood that at some point in 20 years you'll frick up and let them get sulfated.

Cool. Didn't know they still sold the 5.7 in 2000. But now I know, and knowing is half the battle!
In that case, hell yeah you need an Optima battery to turn the crank on that bad boy!
Just messing with you man. But the only way I'm buying an Optima battery, is if I have a classic hotrod or something that I want to show off how much money I spent under the hood
