Are the ones on Amazon worth a crap? 4/5 stars with 400 reviews. But reviews seemed like they either work. Or work then die quickly. Thoughts?

I got mine off eBay (OEM) working just fine 2 years later

Walmart or Sams can replace most of them for about $30 installed. Worked on my two Toyotas but they said won’t work on Mercedes or BMWs I think
