I would set the trailer bait up differently, but seems legit

I've used a trailer hook on a buzzbait but nothing like that.

I use trailer hooks a lot on any sort of fast moving bait, just in case the bass is a little late in its strike

What is his point of setting up the bait on the trailer joke like that? I use trailer hooks all the time and with jigs similar to that but my jig is threaded on the shank of the hook.

Damn I just noticed that. Okay, now that is odd.

Can you explain this a little more....

I've seen people use trailer hooks & I've seen people use chasers (those frog legs....don't know their proper name), but I've never seen anyone use both together and I don't think the chaser should go in the trail hook regardless. Plus I don't even know if his trailer hook was even really set up right. The ones I've used before slide right on and you cap them with a plastic piece

It is odd. I don't use trailer hooks but if I did and insisted on putting that grub on there then is have it threaded on the trailer hook.

Wouldn't it be best to leave the trailer hook bare and put the grub on the main hook? Essentially letting its legs dangle over the trailer hook?
