I'm thinking about buying some lumber and throwing together a shooting house for a summer time project. I've never built one before, but I figured we can use one at camp and my kid will be entertained by the project. I need one big enough to fit two people. The two box stands that we currently have are falling apart and not quite big enough for two people to be comfortable.

Anyone got a project they are working on this summer? Any advice/starting points for building a box stand?

I’ve been working on a 2 acre food plot behind the house. Also, got the wife a new classroom. I have a finish it so it will be ready by August. She homeschools our kids.

A few months back I posted looking for someone that could finish this conversion for me, but I was unable to find someone who wanted to take on the work. So I’ve been doing it myself. I now see why nobody wanted to do it lol
The previous owner wired it up but I was having electrical issues with it. I’ve lined out those issues. I have to finish the plumbing and the bathroom walls and ceiling and it’ll be 100% functional. The previous owner had the shower water lines ran out the bottom of the camper, so I just cut a small hole in the wall and put sharkbite 90’s. I plan to do tin shower walls, and use copper piping exposed over the tin for a “rustic” look. For the ceiling I’m doing stonecoat shower epoxy. I ordered a kit with some black, bronze, dark blue and pearl colors. So hopefully that comes out looking decent. I attached a picture of what it could potentially look like, but probably won’t look as good lol. I also have a nautilus door that I’ll be using for the shower, so I’ll have to cut that wooden curtain rod out and install that too.
Once the plumbing and bathroom is done, I’ll just be doing smaller things like installing the cabinet doors and doing some painting. I’m taking my time with it but I want it done before hunting season. I plan to spend at least a full month in it this hunting season(not all at once).
