Sliding glass door repair

I have an oversize sliding glass door that needs some work; it doesn't slide very well.
2 questions:
How difficult is it to remove the door and replace all the sliding hardware?
Whether I do the work myself or have someone do it, is there a specific brand of hardware I should replace it with?
TIA

Is it messed up are just dirty? Before taking it apart, you may want to try some Alumaslick that is available at Lowes.

Don't know for sure but it doesn't slide very good.
Let's go with the "it's dirty"; what's the best way to clean the rollers/hardware?

I have one that gets a ton of pine needles and other stuff in the lower tracks. Blast it out with a hose, hit it with a blower to dry it out, then spray some lube on it. I use WD-40 or some Remington Oil. Then work it back and forth pretty good. That usually works for about a year, then I have to do it again. Usually in the fall when everything starts falling is when it will stick.

So which board should I have posted this? Since there wasn't Door Board or House Board this seemed logical. Oh shite, sorry about using logic.

Come with me to the Help Board and petition my board idea that I've been going on for about 3 years now...
Home and Health board.
You are welcome.
The OT can answer these questions. There are already 2 threads on the first page about windows. I think your door thread would fit in well there!

Not IMO because the sliding glass door is so damn heavy.

If you want good answers without all the bs responses, this is the place for home and vehicle questions.
