Get your dive license. I’ve been on a dive trip and seen them at 100 ft of depth or so I don’t know how many times. Truly a majestic animal.

My late father was raised in Morgan City and they lived about a block away from the river where the shrimp boats docked, he said he remembered the boats coming in and they had dozens and dozens of sea turtles that they would clean and the meat would be packed in ice for shipment. This was '30s to early '40s.
