This is the wrong take. I have been in this situation many times. If someone beats you to your spot, you should be the one moving on. Just because you showed up in the summer time and built a blind doesn’t mean you get to stroll up whenever you please and get first dibs. You should always have a plan B in the event that your spot is taken. Showing up early not only helps you get your spot but also gives you enough time to call an audible in the event that someone else wanted it more that day.

Got here before everyone. That is why I said I was leaving at 4am. This post was made as a joke, now we know who are all of the assholes that dont do the work to build a blind.

I had a plan B. It was to fish near my duck blind.

I build my blind and take it down with me every hunt at the wax, use fast grass and 1x2’s sharpened on one end and catfish line.
Wasn’t the other hunters that made me stop building permanent blinds but a combination of the gnats that move into them and the ability to set up in a different place each hunt after observing the ducks from last time.
Takes about 30 min to set up.
Plan on getting a mud boat with pop up blind one day, but for now still doing it old school with the pirogue and decoy sled.
Don’t think they make them any more but still have a couple of the old Perfectioneering marsh seats , they are the bomb:
