Good post BP. 2,4-D in certain formulations will get my allergies acting up.

One good way to evaluate your coverage when spraying is to add dye to the spray. The dye is realitvely cheap vs over application of the more expensive chemical. It will also make you more aware of wind drift taht can kill unintended plants. Usually it is only used with herbicides but there is no reason you can not use it with pesticides too.
If you want to scare yourself, wear one of those cheap white fiber dust maskes when spraying with dye.

I hate that dye. I always end up looking like a smurf just pouring it in the sprayer
