Does anyone have any tips on fishing the 0-5 mile reefs in perdido. Going next week and pulling a 22' bay boat. Looking to try some of the close reefs if weather is permitting. What kind of fish can I expect at the 40' deep reefs? What kind of bait, etc...?

Can’t help you with the reefs but I can tell you that if you fish the lights in Ole River at night you’ll find the trout to be very cooperative.

It’s been pretty sporty here lately. Be careful running offshore. The tide is running out hard in late afternoons. If there is a south wind it stacks up in afternoons at the mouth of the pass.
You can catch snapper in 40 feet...but it’s closed. Damn near everything is closed.
Look up Dixie Bar. You can catch bull reds there.
