Just had my yard recontoured for drainage reasons and have a a large swath of sand 60x200 with very little grass protruding except where the lawn was unusually high...

Was considering hydroseeding to get it filled in before the winter kill comes and I end up with bare lawn until spring

Not sure if you do this kind of work, but recommendations would be appreciated... Slidell area

Try Grassmasters. Owner is a local guy here in Ponchatoula that I know well. They are doing a lot of work over that way right now.

I second this. I’ve dealt with them professionally and they are top notch.

Size and location matter a ton, but I'm getting 10k+ seeded in Birmingham for $0.05/SF.

Do it yourself. Lowes and Home Depot have everything you need to rent.

You may want to have some sort of rye mixture in there as well. I am not sure if you have enough time to establish a Bermuda or centipede lawn before the winter and it may end up killing your grass. When I hydroseeded it took about 2 months to get everything growing and well established.
