I'm currently looking for a chart plotter. I just purchased a 16' Xpress CC. New to fishing the marshes.
I'm setting my boat up to catfish and drift off the back using a 9" on console that I can see from the back seat and would like to add another 7" or 9" on the bow to fish bass and spec's/reds later. I like that you can run both units off one transducer and pair them wired or wirelessly now.
Would this be a good set up for South La marsh and bayou fishing and occasional Lower Miss and Atchafalaya river and basin
Option A: Garmin ECHOMAP UHD Touch 94sv comes with GT54UHD-TM Transducer and Garmin Navionics+ for $799 and adding the Navionics Platinum Plus NPUS006R U.S. South maps for $145. It seems Garmin has auto routing and Lowrance has "safe routing" looking for opinions on the two.
Also looking at Lowrance Elite FS9 / FS7 paired the same way (wired only) with the Louisiana one premium card. LA-1 card has safe routes for the marsh.
It seems Garmin has auto routing and Lowrance has "safe routing" looking for opinions on the two.
I'm more leaning more towards routing safety I know these units have more than adequate fish finding capabilities for me.
Any help greatly appreciated. Any cheaper solutions with same capabilities also would be appreciated. The Garmin units are a bit cheaper than the Lowrance it seems. I've not done much research on Simrad or Raymarine.

With the Black Friday pricing the Himmingbird Helix 9 with Mega Side imaging looks like a good deal. Compatible with min kota trolling motors and your power poles

Get something that's compatible with the Louisiana One card. Like a lowrance or simrad
