From sole to top it measures almost 16”. Looking for a new electric boot dryer that will dry damp to soaking wet boots in 1-4 hours.

What are y’all using these days?

ETA: IN B4 “between truck cab and bed.”

I saw a neat setup for ski boots once, a pvc pipe apparatus that had an array of vertical pipes onto which the boots were placed upsidedown, and a blower on the other end powered by a twist-knob timer. A little heat generation from the blower would really speed things up.

If only for one pair of boots, it would be a modest doins to build, wouldn't require much of a blower, and would be portable.

eta, quick look online shows plenty of cheap 9v battery or wallwart DC blowers. Rig up a simple pipe system, even packable collapsable tubing would do. Bringing in less humid air is the ticket.

Sounds like you need a priest, not a boot dryer.

.

Yea, I see there are many manufacturers that make them now. The dryer I have that just went dead is ancient but unfortunately no longer has any kind of identifying marks left on it.

I just called my mom and asked her where and when did she get my rubber boot dryers. She said Christmas in 2001! That thing has literally worked for 19 years. Scrolling through pictures of old ones online to see if I can find the exact same one so I’ll know who the manufacturer is so I can buy another.

There are a bunch online. Like you were saying, I can just measure the diameter of the dryer tubes and buy some PVC to make my own extenders.

I just wanted to see what the OB recommends as far as modern manufactures and should I get convection or fan dryer?

Cannot believe the boot dryer I had lasted 19 years. I used it a lot.

Crumbled newspaper used to be the ticket for wet boots overnight. Finish with hair dryer

You can build a pretty decent one out of a box, a light bulb and a small fan.
