I have a Model 60 that is very accurate. Sounds like you need to learn to shoot.

Most rifles have to be sighted in to be perfect, if not all of them. handguns and shotguns can be shot as is from the factory.

Did I miss where he mentioned which Marlin .22 it was?
I've got a 39A that's my favorite/most accurate .22 I own. Marlin makes pretty damn good .22's for the money.

the windage on my 795 was pretty spot on out of the box but it shot a bit low for my sight picture. still needs some tweaking (I bought it like a week before the sandy hook shite, thank god), but it's pretty accurate considering.

I grew up shooting a 39A and found it to extremely accurate. I purchased one for my son last year from Bass Pro and it had major issues. It was impossible to group rounds and constantly jammed. After about 100 rounds I gave up. Bass Pro took it back and a got the Ole Henry.

not accurate
this generally means it shoots to a different place each time. If it always shoots to the same place...

1. It might be you.

2. If fixed sights, can you drift the rear? Otherwise you need to bend the front.
