It's actually one of my favorite times to fish.. Most people are hunting = less pressure. big jigs (real pork) and big willow spinnerbaits produce BIG bass. During a front is my favorite time when the wind is out of the west and changes north, water starts falling and fish set up to feed right before they get the lock jaw

what are some tactics you guys use this time of year?

Actually, a buddy of mine does VERY well on a rogue during this time of year. I also like cranking deep logs that run perpindicular to the bank

I flat wore out the green trout one November while my brother was duck hunting on a Junebug/Chartreuese Horny Toad buzzed over the top and a Storm ChugBug in a white mullet looking color in Delacroix

i like to take a broken minnow crank and use it like a topwater for a while, no results, crank it, no results, go back to the drawing board

I love this time of year bc you work hard to catch fish, to pattern them, but when you do catch one it's gonna be a 3+lber

Usually use Bombers and Bandits. I have owned some KVD's but them son of a guns are to expensive to be bouncing off of cypress trees or donating to a gar fish

Did you see how fast they sold out on the Bass Pro site after he won the Classic at Lake Cat?

I couldn't find the color I wanted even like 2 months after

I bought a bunch of the H2O express cranks from academy because they're cheap enough for me not to be pissed when I break one off.

I don't fish much in the Fall/Winter, but when I do I go larger and slower.

My main switch is from willow-leaf spinnerbaits to Colorado spinnerbaits.

gotta slow down, Texas rigged senko worked slowly, starting and stopping a crank, Texas rigged brushhogs, spinner with single Colorado blade

I'll save the rogue for late feb/early march

hitting lake cat this weekend since I may not make it to the blind
