I have only had one close encounter with a gator on Bayou Plaquemine. I have had a few more encounters with boaters not paying attention.

I keep a Glock 26 handy if there are going to be a lot of them.

Sorry, meant behind St. Tammany hospital at bogue falaya park. It’s a simple bit yet nice kayak.

If that scared you don't ever go fishing in East Point La Hache. I've seen more 11+ foot alligators there than any other place I've been in LA. shite one canal used to to have 3 11 footers in it and that canal was only 300 yards long. Usually they don't get that close to each other, but I would run into the same group 3 years in a row.
