Great looking puppy.
Good book is Back to the Basics by Robert Milner.
He started wildrose kennels.
Wildrose Kennels has a good video as well.
There are plenty of more instructive detailed training videos out there that are very expensive.
Good luck.
I have a year old lab and couldn't be happier most days!!!!
Also Milner has several segments on you tube that you can watch for free that demonstrates what he is talking about.
Duckhillskennels is what he owns now and you can get on the website and look at the forums and he will answer your questions and has videos on there as well to help.

Does anyone have a breeder of labs that put's out fine stock but not to expensive? I'm looking to spend between $800 and $1200. I want either a choc or black. Looking for someone in Texas. I don't mind traveling to Louisiana to get a nice dog though since it would give me an excuse to go back home and see relatives.
We are looking for a family dog and have had a lab mix before it passed away due to getting hit by a car. Loved that dog.
