Spinnerbaits, Carolina rigs, rattle traps, soft plastics. Working deep water... under water ditches and fingers leading to bedding area..grass beds. And then working bedding areas.

I look for clear back water pockets that warm up faster than the rest of the lake. I like a Mister Hootie spinner bait and watermelon red lizard weightless. I also like to flip with a wacky rigged senko.


With the warmer than usual weather it may be an odd year were they move up earlier than most years. I can see a cold front coming in March and screwing everything all up.
