Mathews phase 4. Iron will broadhead
Worked last night, got up early and me and a buddy headed up to hunt this evening, camp and hunt tomorrow morning. Came into this spot I found on the map mostly to hunt it tomorrow, but got in early enough to set up for the evening.
On a dried up slough bank with some oaks close by that are dropping good. Thick bedding close by also. Hopefully something comes out of the thick stuff to feed before dark. I’ll shoot a doe as long as she doesn’t have a little one in tow. Tomorrow should be good. Going to get down into the upper 50’s tonight.

Snuck in a quick hunt after work

Had a shooter 7pt here last Monday 3 mins before legal dark but couldn’t see him through my peep, hopefully he is 15min earlier today.

One of my friends practices shooting without looking through his peep for those last light scenarios. He anchors, looks around his peep and has his aim point figured out. I wanna say he’s like 6” left, or right.
I’m like you though, I’ll just pass and hope I get a shot in better light another time. I hate wounding animals.
