It took me a second, but I noticed the girl in the background of that picture.

Saturday morning is first day of first shotgun season, since we can't hunt rifle up here in good ole iowa, its our big season. I'm stoked.

Worked all night.sun ,mon , tues,so I could hunt wed p.m. all day thurs and fri. Headed up to atl after.friday evening hunt.

With a fur harvester tag you can, I.e. coyotes, coons, etc. no deer though...

Just one of the many things I miss about Nebraska

Fresh scrapes everywhere. Hearing about bucks chasing does in the area. Seems early but who knows.

Killed my second big nanny of the season this evening right before dark. Pretty proud of the shot. About 175 yards, barely enough light in the scope. Decided to neck shoot her so she wouldn't run in the thicket. Dropped like a rock. I'm telling you guys the Thompson/Center Venture is as good as advertised.

And no pics. Sorry - phone battery ran out before dark because I was on TD

Stayed in the stand from 0530 till 1700
Saw one coyote around 8:30 but never stopped to give me a shot. Had 2 does feed thru around 4:30 and killed a 14 3/4 8 pt. at 5pm i will try and post pics tomorrow.
