Western South Dakota, west of Spearfish. There are a lot of hot spring pot holes that never freeze. Mallard upon mallard.

I would take Cheyenne Bottoms in central Kansas. Awesome teal hunting, variety of ducks in the early season beginning in October, and then mallards until the place freezes up. Not to mention pretty good goose hunting in parts of the bottoms and good pheasant numbers.

And it’s just flat out a beautiful freshwater marsh.

I guess you have had breakfast out of this kitchen then.

Lamar’s new Prodigy boat is really nice. First time I had seen one when we hunted this year. Great guys.

Yorkwoods is amazing. When Cox built that place he did it right.

Interesting fact about the lodge there—

They wanted the roof to look old so they put a good roof on, the put another roof worth of run in acid vats to age it.

Once it had the look they wanted, they put the false roof on top.

It’s amazing what you can do with unlimited funds.

For mallards?

Something between the confluence of the Yakima and Snake rivers.
