Save yourself a bunch of time and money. Go to an auto parts store and buy the cheapest can of carburetor cleaner you can find. One quick spray with the tube stuck in the hole and you have dead bees. Takes seconds. Same goes for wasps. Works much better than the weak-arse wasp spray they sell.

I use to sit in a chair with an ice chest full of beer and spend afternoons killing them. get a can of spray adhesive. If just a tiny bit hits them in air they drop. If they go in the hole then just spray a little in the hole.

I stuck a blasting cap in the hole before... whoops!

Been doing this for years. Carb cleaner knocks em down instantly.
