It’s a little difficult to explain so bear with me. To get to my property you turn on a dirt road off of the main road. That dead end dirt road is a public road. The road curves to the left and turns into the driveway to my camp. About 100 yards away. Which you can clearly see in the curve. If you don’t take the curve to the camp and just go straight there is a 4 wheeler trail there. He set up right on the side of the 4 wheeler trail. I take that same trail to get to my stands.
I was confused because I thought the 4 wheeler trail was our property. But my grandpaw told me that the way our property dog legs, the first 20 yards of that trail is actually their property. I never knew that. There’s another trail I could take to get to my stands and I guess now I have to.
So yea this guy is set up about 100 yards from my camp and 20 yards off of the property line.
And I admit that I’ve driven on that 20 yards of their property my whole life getting to my stand not knowing it was actually theirs. But until now it’s never been an issue.

How big is your property? If he is set up 100 yards from the camp and you or anyone else is there regularly then it can’t be that productive to hunt and he’ll move it. None of this seems like all that big of a deal unless he’s shooting towards the camp, at which point I’d politely point out where the camp is. Beyond that, I’d call it even for you essentially using their property for access for years. You really need to download something like OnX with property lines mapped before you make an arse of yourself somewhere else thinking it’s yours if you had no idea you were cutting a corner already.
