I would cut every single one of those mofos in my yard but for my wife. Those damned balls can twist and ankle when stepped on.
I've burned limbs in the fireplace and burns okay, not as much pop as people say for those.

I fully understand. I’ve researched it and dabbled with it for 15 years. Glad you’ve had success, but I believe you could’ve provided quality cover AND encouraged higher quality, non-sweetgum browse by killing those trees. Sweet gums require re-hinging after a few years, too.
