This, I turned in a sawed off shotgun to the state police. My step father found it in a house he remodeled. They treated me like a criminal.

This. A guy gave me a gun and I really didn’t trust him. Went to the state police and asked about turning it in. Officer was really nice but basically said they would run it through their database and if it was ever used in a crime, I would have some explaining to do. He recommended I go to my local law enforcement and turn it in there.

When I mentioned throwing it into my lake he stopped me, smiled and said, “I don’t need to hear anymore of this”. Ended up giving it to a buddy who owns a gun store.
