I get the point you’re making here - civilians have to be reactionary to a threat whereas law enforcement can be more proactive and on the offensive.

Still, what’s wrong with being prepared? The underlying point that you get more rounds at your disposal plus greater ease of reloading doesn’t change. A revolver is a good belly gun or backup gun but for overall defensive use, the semi auto will be at an advantage.

I also have yet to see a person take a defensive handgun class with a revolver. Not saying it can’t be done, but there is significant evidence that people will favor the semi over the revolver for most defensive use.
