I bought a huge 40kw Katolite with. John Deere diesel. It was a cellular tower gen set, has 300hrs on the meter,,,,this one was set up for auto start,,,,,I need someone to install a key switch and remove the hardwired cables and install some lugs,,,I have this on a trailer that I store away from home and want to be able to trailer it to my home or my parents,,,,,who ya got around Lafayette?

Is it 240v and single phase? Most larger units are 208y120 3 phase

It should be pretty straightforward...anyone with some basic mechanical or electrical skills should be able to do it. Rounding up the switch and the lugs and the tools will take longer than doing it.
By hard wired cables do you mean the wires that feeds a transfer switch /load? They are most likely terminated at lugs already...unless it is an old military set or something where the terminations are cad-welded to bus...not likely. The keyed switch will break the ignition circuit...that is a very easy fix. You can probably do it yourself quicker and for a lot less money but almost anyone with some basic mechanical / electrical skills should be able to do it.
