How does the 7sv compare to Lowrance and Humminbird comparable models?

Garmin's are just as good if not better than the other brands but normally a lot pricier

I got a 73sv at BPS during their spring sale and like it a lot. The LakeVu maps are as good as any card you could buy. Some say the clarity on the SI and DI isn't as good as Lowrance or Humminbird, but I haven't played with any others so I can't compare. I paid either 449.00 or 499.00 on sale for mine and would gladly buy another for the same money.

Garmin also makes a forward scanner for your trolling motor that is better than any similar forward scanners that Lowrance or Humminbird currently produce.
