Don't always tell the whole story.
I have a middle of the road Moultrie watching the back yard for security/wildlife activity.
Get pics of does and young bucks almost every night. Last night no pics between 1 and 3 am yet I watched a nice 9 pt feeding from the corn bucket for nearly 20 minutes from inside the house. Verified with a green varmint hunting light.
Not one picture.... from24 yds away.
I am theorizing two things here. That big buck movement is so slow and deliberate that the movement feature doesnt trigger. As for the infrared feature not triggering I believe that an older bucks larger fat layer helps insulate so well that the cameras thermal feature fails to recognize it at anything mid range or farther from the cameras range.
Word to the wise.....

Diffent pic of same buck two wks ago

Yeah, nothing is more frustrating than having a rice bran pile cleaned out over the course of a week and a food plot full of tracks yet minimal pictures on cameras
