Went to run the dishwasher this morning and would select the cycle and shut the door and it would never run. I turned the circuit breaker off and back on to attempt to reset it. Now the display on the door only powers up for a second and only periodically before turning back off.

There is no error code and searching online has yielded nothing.

Any thoughts before I bite the bullet and replace? Also paying to repair a $400 unit if I can't do it myself seems like a waste.

Big piece of junk. Control board on mine went and did the same thing. Had it changed out with no luck so I cut my loses. Changed it out with a Bosch and the wife loves it.

I feel like they’re only made to last about 5-6 yrs nowadays.

I had a Bosch and it lasted 4 yrs. we’re on yr 3 on the current LG.

They all suck.

Make sure someone hasn't accidentally pushed the 3 hour delay start switch/button. If so, de-select that particular delay option. Some dishwashers have a 3, 6, and 9 hour delay option. Our Bosch has these delays. ETA that there might be something preventing one or both trays from sliding all the way to the back wall of the dishwasher.
