Lots of grey fox here . The strangest thing I've seen is two 20-25 feet in the top of an oak tree . at first I thought they were coons .

No, I became an AU fan because I graduated in 89 from AU, My father graduated there, My grandfather was a Literature Prof there.

Didnt mean to write a life story but I got to thinking that about all the fox and dolphin killing

Ive killed a truckload of grays over the years trapping but only a few reds. The coyotes and reds don't get along to well and the mange is hard on them. As far as I know there grays don't get the mange.

No they are not illegal to kill in La.

Only if you are selling the fur. They are considered a predator.
