I remember when the first one hit. You could get a 21 haynie for 20k. Now they command "finished" bay boat pricing. They are fast and fishable, but not worth the money they now command.

To the OP, get a 21 ft fiberglass bay boat of some sort. That size was the gold standard for many years for a reason. You can do just about everything from fishing, to cruising, to tubing, behind that boat, esp. for a family of 4. I just hope you don't take your family far offshore in that.

I agree with this. Blazer Bay, Triton, Pathfinder, Kenner, Frontier all build hulls that size range and readily available on the used market.
