Deer hunt in Sweetwater, TX. Sitting in open tri-pod with the wind howling and freezing cold. I climbed down around 8 am and sat on fence line. Saw a doe step into the field and start feeding towards me. I had no good cover was just happy to be out of the wind.
She kept working towards me and I kept still. She passed me within the distance of a pool stick. The scenario played out for at least 20 minutes and it was very nice to experience.

The second time I took my son crappie fishing.
The first time we couldn't find them and were skunked. He was miserable and bitched and I could barely drag him with me the second time.
We got on a brush pile that was stacked early in the morning. We started hammering them and I mean nice fat slabs every cast. You could have thrown a bare hook out there and as soon as it hit the water, you had a slab on.
I stopped fishing after my 10th or so fish and just watched him fill up the ice chest in about 45 minutes.
He was fricking giddy, having a blast.
One of my best days ever on the water or not.

The first time I outfished my dad. I was probably 15-16 and we pulled his camper up to Toledo Bend and stayed for like 5 days over my Christmas break from school. The first day he kicked my arse, but the second day I caught 9 to his 3 and my best five went about 25 pounds. I had never caught a bass over 4 pounds before that day, and I caught a 6 and two 5s!
