F150 people (headlight question)

I figured the baws on the outdoor board would be good to ask regarding this subject. I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with aftermarket LED headlights (aimed correctly of course). Specifically, if anyone had the Morimoto xb hybrid or Alpharex Pro ones. Have y'all had any issues with them? Worth the money?

If you want really usable, good output, you should buy a set of headlights with projectors or an old OEM set of projector headlights. Putting LEDs or HIDs in a reflector housing made for halogens will never have proper light output. The halogens will be your best bet out these housings.
However, if you want some input or what all is involved in a retrofit, here's one I did on an F150:

If you want wide output, a good cutoff line (no glare to oncoming drivers), and an intense hotspot (good distance), it's hard to beat a quality HID projector:

Ahh thank you. I will look into that. That looks really good actually. It had some led bulbs in it when I bought it (used) but it is definitely the stock housing and that isn't the Ford OEM led housing so I was looking at getting the cheaper morimoto housing and light kit but it is still pretty expensive so I was looking around for info. The led bulbs in it now are bright but even still they are not all that bright and I bet its due to what you said above. Nothing worse than being unable to see the road on hwy 61 at night. Thanks for the input.

Ha! that's no joke. I counted 24 alone one night a few years back between st. francisville and natchez. Yet they're never at my food plot.
