I graduated May 2007...school sucked but every now and again I miss it(not for the schoolwork)
So my neighbor tells me this morning that early sunday morning about 2am he looked out his window and saw some dude standing on side my house so he went outside and the dude ran...I live in a pretty quiet neighborhood. I got a feeling this undesirable was trying to steal something. What ya'll think I should do? Stake out with 12 gauge? Put up a trail cam? All suggestions welcome.

$25k down the pipe. Hope it pays off. This is pushing my boat buying and house building back a few years
I want to go back for an MBA too but haven't yet for this reason.

I had a rough transition from HS to college. I went from never having to study and always having someone tell me what to do and when to do it. I had like a 1.5 my first semester and changed majors 4 times. Got into a rut and never got out. Finally decided to go Gen Studies and graduated in 4.5 years with a decent GPA.
I finally got tired of looking at my Gen Studies degree and said "eff it" I'm going back. Took the GMAT and kicked arse. Could've got into some really good schools, but damn they were expensive for an Executive MBA program.
I probably could've got my employer to help me out, but I don't want to have any allegience to him when I'm done.

I had a VERY similar track. Had to drop 1550 like a hot flaming turd. Passed it in the Spring, then took 1552 in Summer. The next Fall, I was in differential equations, and Sung Woo Su just could not connect with my brain. Organic sucked. Hell, all my classes sucked. Resigned and started over in Spring. Sucked considering I had not had one single bad thing happen to me up to that point.

It took me 5 years to graduate because I switched from one engineering curriculum to another and lost a semester and ran into a class that was only offered certain semesters. I got lucky bc I had a good group of friends that shared all work and studied together. Like Alx said, some of the professors sucked and we ended up teaching everything to ourselves. An MBA wouldn't help me much in my current position but would later in life...I just have no desire to go to work, then go to class and study after...I enjoy going home after work and being able to do whatever the hell I feel like.

I'm leaning towards a stake out, if he touches my boat he will lose a kneecap

My 1552 teacher was off her rocker, I think she had a stroke and came back and taught. She gave us a test that nobody did good on so she gave us a test that was worth 100 bonus points...I ended up getting someting like 84 bonus points and aced the class

Hell no, I take all rods and reels and tackle out after every trip and keep it in my house. After I saw what thieves did to some of my friends in toledo bend, I don't trust anyone.

quote:And it's not so much that I'm bad at it I just work slow and hate doing it. I like most of my biology and chem classes, apart from the insane amounts of studying, but higher level math is the most boring shite ever. I would hate being in engineering.

Mine stay in my boat these days.
You can see my boat from the road. There is no lock on the tongue. No one is home all day every day.

It is not locked.
Straight shot to the street.
We have no cameras.

quote:The classes are soooo much different than I imagined. Getting the right answer, yet knowing nothing about it. Everything became math except organic. Hell, my physics got ahead of my calculus. No way should they have let me take those 2 at the same time.
I would hate being in engineering.
