I really like my buddy's XDm, but I'd honestly be getting one just to have in the truck with me. I keep a shotgun with buckshot handy at the apt. My friend is already talking about getting a smaller gun to keep in the truck so he doesn't have to walk across his parking lot with a full size pistol every night. I'm thinking about checking out the Keltec PF-9 and P-11, could easily fit in my console and the price is great. I plan on getting a cheaper SA .22 revolver for hunting/plinking and just to abuse eventually as well. I could potentially get both of those for cheaper than one XDm .45. Then I'll just get a nice full size .45 when I have money to blow and am out of school.
I dunno why I just typed all of that, I'm sitting in the back of a 3 hour class bored out my wits and need something to keep myself occupied.

For reasons I cannot defend, striker fired pistols just do not appeal to me.

1 more hour at work. The training is getting more and more in depth. Already had someone get pretty pissed at me.

I can kind of understand, but at the same time as primarily a defense gun it doesn't bother me. The guns have mostly positive reviews as far as I can tell, seems like they aren't very refined but for pistols designed for maximum concealment they aren't has bad to shoot as you'd expect. The PF-9 would be the choice if I had a CHL, but the P-11 can hold a few more rounds so I'd probably be more interested in that one.
