I'm really curious about the hostage rests, it seems like the best of both worlds as far as wearing your vanes and stopping movement, but I don't know anyone who uses them. My buddy that bought a new bow said the guy at spillway sportsman told him they wear out easily, whatever that means.

That's a drop away, correct? It flips down when you shoot?

Hostage rest

I just got mine at the end of the summer, but my bro had it before me and basically taught me a lot about it. I'm still lacking experience with different equipment though.

My brother uses a hostage and likes it. I don't think you can beat a whisker biscuit though.

I love mine. If you shoot a million times a year, it will dick with your fetching a little bit. Just set aside some arrows that you will only use for targets, and keep your broadheads on some seperate arrows. Shoot em a few times to make sure they shoot the same, and save those for hunting.

The problem with the hostage is the bottom brush will wear out pretty quickly.

I'll probably go with a hostage or another WB for my next bow...my buddy loves the drop away he just bought but I've always hated unnecessary moving parts.

The reason I don't shoot drop aways and mechanical heads. I like my shite to be as simple as possible. And it shoots damn good like it is.

For my current bow the inaccuracy caused by it being such a heavy sumbich and me being kind of weak is way more than any rest could cause. That's really the only reason I want a new bow, it's hard to hold that heavy arse thing steady at full draw with my long arse arms. Leverage is a bitch brah.

It could be that the let off sucks too.

Is it properly set up? An improperly tuned bow makes it a nightmare to shoot.

Yea I left that out. It claims 65% let off but it feels more like around 50%. Holding back 30 lbs wears on you pretty quickly.

It should be. Strings are 3 years old. The peep and sight line up just fine. It's drawing a count hair over 30" which is almost exactly what my draw length should be according to all the charts and formulas I've seen. I'm finally used to shooting it, it's just even when I've had a week's break from shooting after 10 arrows I'm starting to wear out already.
